I was invited recently to the debut of Diana Lynn VanderMeulens mural, hosted by Chantelle Marie and Julia Hood of Kit + Ace. The sophisticated simplicity of Kit & Ace's clothing and Diana's blue hued mural created the perfect marriage of poetic elegance.

Through the abundance of conversation and great music I was led to Diana. Immediately after explaining her process for her mural, I realized that the outcome of her work is not just about the aesthetic but more so about the

emotional journey. I have never met an artist with such a strong connectivity with emotions portrayed through colors. Diana shows this in her everyday lifestyle, in the way she dyes her hair, in the clothes that she wears but especially in her work.

Thank you Kit & Ace for supporting artists and their creativity. I wish a lot more brands followed under these foot steps. Check out Diana's mural in Graffiti Alley, behind Kit & Ace at 779 Queen St. W and their new location at 102 Bloor St.W. Follow @kitandace and @dianalynnvdm for great fashion, trends and art.
