I want to start off by thanking Autumn Hachey for pushing me to start this amazing journey. Through your guidance you have helped me grow and learn so much about myself. I have truly reached my capabilities when it comes to pulling things off with random pop-ups of inabilities. The Curator's Bible is dedicated to the movers, shakers and makers of the creative world. Through the journey of building The Curator's Bible, I want to re-define art exhibits as not just viewings but experiences, I have recently felt so lackluster at opening receptions. I'm not sure if it's the same places, same faces or the fine line I feel we walk on when it comes to art and playing it safe in this city. As Banksy once said, “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” Various pieces of art don't have to define you, but they should make you feel an abundance of emotions and thoughts; one's that guide you into another perspective of just regular being.
I would also like to thank Annie Ngu, Helen Habtez, Onside Communications, Julia Carillo and Binh Vuong for their support and much appreciated help. Last but not least I would like to thank all the artist that trusted me to showcase their work. Mixed media artists and painters Ashley Smallwood, Aziza Jaffer, Barney Bolland, Beck Metzbower, Benjamin Cook, Bobby Mathieson, Callen Schaub, Courtney Walters, Chloe St. James, David Shepherd,George Carijutan, Sara Killorin, Todd Monk and Tau Lewis, videographer KITKnows, alongside illustrator's and graffiti artists, Graeme Luey, Jayden Hardie, Pharrow Stevens, Tabban Soleimani, Thomarya Fergus and fellow photographers Shot By Cris, Monica Moraru, Tess Roby and Taylor Aikins. A huge thanks to Eugenio Tamburini for the awesome event photography and the sounds of HustleGrl, LiteWrks and Bambi.
